Tottenham made an impactful start to the Premier League under new manager Thomas Frank, dominating newly promoted Burnley.
The away team in claret are notoriously difficult to break down, but Richarlison’s slick strike in the first 10 minutes sent a message to Burnley that this was not the same Tottenham from last season’s Premier League campaign.
If the second goal was anything to go by, Tottenham are going to be in shape to compete in the top six again after a goal-of-the-season screamer from the Brazilian number 9.

An overhead kick for the history books. This put Spurs 2-0 up in the 60th minute and was arguably Richarlison’s best game in a Spurs shirt.
Coming off the back of a performance full of flair against PSG in the Super Cup final (LINK TO SUPER CUP ARTICLE), sudden impact is the best way to describe Mohammed Kudus’ first two meaningful games for the club.

He continued his momentum by assisting both of Richarlison’s goals.
If it wasn’t already clear that the new manager effect was in full swing, Pape Matar Sarr played a beautifully weighted through ball to Brennan Johnson, who sealed Tottenham’s 3-0 victory in the 66th minute.
Tottenham were near faultless in their season opener. A fresh start on their mission back to the top six.
