AFC Bournemouth ended their long wait for an away victory in emphatic fashion, defeating Wolverhampton Wanderers 2–0 at Molineux as Andoni Iraola marked his 100th match in charge of the Cherries with three invaluable Premier League points.
It was Bournemouth’s first away win since late August a 1–0 success over Tottenham and a result that lifted them to 12th in the table at the time of writing. Goals from Junior Kroupi and Alex Scott punished a wasteful Wolves side who were made to rue a catalogue of missed opportunities.
Wolves Start Brightly but Lack End Product
The hosts began on the front foot and thought they had taken the lead inside eight minutes. Hwang Hee-Chan skipped past Kroupi and fed João Gomes, whose early cross was headed home by Matheus Mané only for the offside flag to cut celebrations short.

Despite the setback, Wolves continued to pose a threat. Hwang and Mané were lively throughout the opening stages, repeatedly testing Bournemouth’s defensive shape, but clear chances went begging. Bournemouth’s first effort arrived via Kroupi, who fired harmlessly wide from distance, before Evanilson’s clever chest-down set up Amine Adli, whose effort flew over the crossbar midway through the half.
Kroupi Breaks the Deadlock
Against the run of play, Bournemouth struck. Alex Scott intercepted an attempted Wolves pass and fed Adli, who slipped the ball into Kroupi’s path.

The Frenchman took a touch before rifling a superb finish into the roof of the net to give the visitors a crucial first-half lead his eighth goal of the campaign.
Missed Chances Cost Wolves
Bournemouth almost doubled their advantage seconds after the restart when Álex Jiménez burst down the right flank and tested José Sá at his near post. From that moment on, however, Wolves dominated territory and chances.
Tolu Arokodare was at the heart of Wolves’ frustration. He capitalised on a defensive error from James Hill but fired straight at Djordje Petrović, before being gifted another opportunity minutes later when Hill slipped under pressure again failing to beat the Bournemouth goalkeeper.

Further chances followed. Jørgen Strand Larsen dragged a rebound wide, João Gomes struck the post from a Hugo Bueno delivery, and Arokodare blazed over after creating space in the box. Despite their pressure, Wolves simply could not find a way through.
Scott Seals It Late
Wolves’ missed opportunities were punished eight minutes from time. Brazilian youngster Rayan, making his Premier League debut, muscled past João Gomes and delivered a low cross into the box, where Alex Scott arrived to tap home and secure the points.

The goal capped a landmark afternoon for Iraola and sealed back-to-back league victories for Bournemouth for the first time since their early-season wins over Tottenham and Brighton.
For Wolves, the defeat deepens their struggles at Molineux and leaves them reflecting on another afternoon where dominance failed to translate into goals. For Bournemouth, it was a statement result resilient, ruthless, and a timely reminder of their upward trajectory under Iraola.
