Real Madrid ran out 4-1 winners at the Estadio Bernabéu against RB Leipzig, maintaining this 100% start to this season's Champions League group stage.

Los Blancos lined up with their standard 4-3-3 formation, with Kylian Mbappe up front, with Vinicius and Arda Guler supporting the Frenchmen on either side.

Mourinho's number 9 will take the headline, scoring a beautifully curled effort and flicking on a header onto Guler to tap in Los Blancos second goal, but the real highlight from tonight is Leipzig's former talents returning to haunt them.

Las Madristas were rampant tonight, particularly in the second half, with their xG of 2.91 reflecting this, alongside 11/18 of their shots being on target in comparison to Leipzigs 1.44xG.

Ian Diomande produced a goal and an assist in 6 minutes after being introduced on the 70th minute.

The Ivorian winger moved to the Spanish capital this summer following a record-breaking £125 million move from tonight's German opposition.

Who better to score your first Champions League goal than against your former team with a full volley crashing into the roof of the net at the Bernabeu, under the lights, with Florentino Perez and Jose Mourinho looking on with glee.

The Los Blancos number 11 also assisted Kylian Mbappé's curling effort to take the game beyond Leipzig's reach, taking the Ivorians' assist tally to 4 so far this season.

Bernardo Silva tapped in his first goal for Los Blancos after Freddy Valverde crashed in a cross to Arda Guler, who fired a tame shot at Vandevoordt, who lost the ball beneath him as the new Madrista tapped home before half-time.

Los Blancos 1-0 lead was not entirely deserved heading into half-time.

Tibu Courtois was required to be at full stretch and produced a world-class save to deny Romulo at 0-0.

Following this effort, moments later, Christopher Nkunku was played through on goal and never seemed to have the confidence to bury the chance as the Belgian goalkeeper rescued Los Blancos once again.

Following the break, Real continued where they left off in the fast half, following a marauding run from Frede Valverde, who played a 1-2 with Arda Guler, playing in the Madrid number eight, who hammered a shot at Vandevoordt.

On the 51st minute, England starlet Jude Bellingham picked up the ball down the left flank and, on his weaker foot, hung a ball to the back post for Mbappe.

The Frenchmen flicked on a header for Arda Guler to cheekily tap home Los Blancos' second with the outside of his boot.

With the introduction of Diomande came the two goals: one simple laid-off pass for Mbappe to curl into the top right-hand corner, and his own full volley flying into his former side's goal.’

Muted celebrations to respect his former side, but regardless, the joy was for all to see as the Ivorian was surrounded by his new teammates, proving his price tag.

Tidiam Gomis finished off a lovely team goal to give the travelling away fans something to celebrate on their torrid evening away in Madrid, which proved fruitless.

Mourinhos men face Barcelona in the first Clasico of the season on Sunday, 25 October, and will later travel to Greece to face AEK Athens on Wednesday, 4 November.

Mourinhos magicians will look to take this form into Sunday's Clasico as they trail their rivals in La Liga by 6 points.

Tonight's victory takesMourinho'ss men into fourth in the group with 9 points.

Leipzig will host Manchester City later that evening at 20:00, their fans will be hoping for a reaction from this demolition by Los Blancos
