Recently promoted, Leeds United host Newcastle United at Elland Road in Saturday's 5:30pm kick off. Leeds will be hoping to secure another home win after their opening day victory over Everton, while Newcastle will be looking to bounce back after a last-gasp defeat to Liverpool.

Leeds United beat Everton at home on the opening day but then fell to a heavy 5-0 defeat away at Arsenal. The last time Leeds were in the top flight, they only lost seven games at home - five of those coming against the traditional top six.
Another away defeat in the cup against Sheffield Wednesday would not have provided the fans with much confidence going into a tough clash with Newcastle.
If Leeds are to avoid relegation their home form will be important. A positive result over Newcastle can propel Leeds into a good position early on in the season.

Newcastle United remain winless so far in the Premier League after a draw with Aston Villa and a disappointing defeat at Home against Liverpool.
On the opening weekend, Newcastle couldn’t take advantage of 10-man Aston Villa. Then on the second match day they fell down to 10-men themselves after Anthony Gordon’s red card. Despite showing character to fight back from 2-0 down, the Magpies ultimately lost the game.
Manager Eddie Howe may be worried about his team's attacking performances. His side couldn’t break down Aston Villa. Whilst they scored two goals against Liverpool, Newcastle missed a host of chances that could have changed the outcome of the game.

Daniel Farke has seen some exciting attacking players come through the door this summer and will have a selection headache for this match.
New signings Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be pushing for a start. But Leeds boss, Farke, could stick with Willy Gnonto and Joel Piroe as he has done in both games this season.
Leeds’ only goal scorer in the Premier League this season, Lukas Nmecha, started against Sheffield Wednesday and could be another option in Leeds’ frontline.

Newcastle encountered injury and suspension problems in their defeat to Liverpool. Fabian Schar, Sandro Tonali and Joelinton were all forced off with injuries. Anthony Gordon will now be suspended for three games also.
This adds to the ongoing Alexander Isak saga, who still will not play, until a move away from the club has been finalised.
Isak may be closer to leaving the club after Newcastle have recently agreed a deal to sign German striker Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart.
With all of these issues, new signings, Malick Thiaw and Jacob Ramsey could feature for their debuts.
Leeds will hope for a quick start against Newcastle to get their fans in full voice early on. However, Newcastle showed their determination against Liverpool and could have too much quality for Leeds to deal with.
