A cagey affair at Craven Cottage saw Fulham and Manchester United play out a 1-1 draw.
Marco Silva made three changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Brighton on the opening day, bringing in Ryan Sessegnon, Timothy Castagne and Rodrigo Muniz for Jorge Cuenca, Harry Wilson, and Raúl Jiménez.
United, meanwhile, made just one alteration from their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, with Amad Diallo replacing Diogo Dalot at right wing-back.
Rúben Amorim’s men started brighter, and within the first five minutes, a slick move down the left ended with Matheus Cunha striking the post. Fulham gradually grew into the contest after the 15-minute mark, but despite sustained pressure, they couldn’t find the breakthrough.
Controversy struck in the 35th minute when Calvin Bassey threw Mason Mount to the ground while defending a corner, conceding a penalty.

Bruno Fernandes, however, blazed the spot-kick well over the penalty looking more like a Six Nations conversion than a Premier League finish.
Fulham finished the half strongly with a flurry of corners, but both sides went in level at 0-0.
United took the lead on the hour mark when Leny Yoro’s header from a corner deflected off Rodrigo Muniz and into his own net. But their advantage lasted just ten minutes. Substitute Emile Smith Rowe, on the pitch for only 93 seconds, tucked home Alex Iwobi’s cross to bring Fulham level.
Remarkably, that strike meant 19 of Fulham’s last 56 Premier League goals have been scored by substitutes.
The game remained finely poised, with neither side asserting dominance. United came closest to a winner when substitute Harry Maguire’s header flew narrowly wide in the 87th minute, but both teams ultimately had to settle for a point.

While neither side looked entirely convincing, Amorim will be the more concerned of the two managers. His team failed to reproduce the attacking fluency they showed against Arsenal, and both clubs continue their search for a first victory of the season.
