Goalkeeper – Jordan Pickford (£5.5m) – Everton

ree

After claiming his first clean sheet in his last outing, England’s number one will be looking to secure a second at home to a winless Villa side that has struggled this season. Pickford also kept back-to-back clean sheets on international duty this week, so confidence will be high.

Defence – Cristhian Mosquera (£5.4m) – Arsenal

ree

With William Saliba ruled out for a few weeks with an ankle injury, new signing Mosquera will make his home debut this weekend. He looked impressive after replacing the Frenchman at Anfield last week calm, composed, and a threat at set pieces due to his height.

Defence – Marc Guéhi (£4.6m) – Crystal Palace

ree

A deal to Liverpool fell through on deadline day for Guéhi, but he hasn’t let that affect his performances. A stunner against Villa in his last outing, as well as a goal for England during the week, makes him a steal at just £4.6m.

Defence – Djed Spence (£4.5m) – Tottenham

ree

After earning his first England cap on Tuesday, Spence has locked down a starting spot at left-back for Spurs. He has scored 13 points in the first three match weeks and looks set for a big season ahead.

Midfield – Eberechi Eze (£7.5m) – Arsenal

ree

After making his debut off the bench last week in Arsenal’s loss at Anfield, Eze looks set to make his first home start. Arsenal host Forest, and Eze will be keen to shut down any “new manager bounce,” as former Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou takes charge of Forest.

Midfield – Jack Grealish (£6.5m) – Everton

ree

Jack Grealish has had a dream start to life at Everton, leading the way with the most assists (4) in just three games. He’ll be looking to add to that tally and grab his first goal of the season as Everton host his boyhood club, Villa.

Midfield – Noni Madueke (£7.0m) – Arsenal

ree

The Gunners’ new signing looked dangerous at Anfield last week off the right wing. With Saka still not fully fit, Madueke will be looking to make a mark at home to Forest. He got his first England goal on Tuesday and enters this game full of confidence.

Midfield – Lucas Paquetá (£5.9m) – West Ham

ree

The Brazilian has had a strong start to the season, scoring 10 FPL points last week after West Ham secured their first win. They now face Spurs at home in a London derby. Paquetá scored a goal-of-the-month contender in his last home game and will be key again here.

Striker – Yoane Wissa (£7.5m) – Newcastle

ree

Newcastle’s summer signing hit 19 goals and 4 assists for Brentford last season. Now, with better players around him, he looks to be an even bigger threat. Wissa is a solid option up front for any FPL manager this season.

Striker – Alexander Isak (£10.4m) – Liverpool

ree

After months of training alone, Isak finally completed his dream move to Liverpool on deadline day. The Reds are away to Burnley, and Isak looks set to make his debut. FPL managers have waited for this moment now it’s time to see what he can deliver.

Striker – Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.5m) – Crystal Palace

ree

With only one goal in three games so far, Mateta still looks a real threat. He scored 14 league goals last season and will be aiming to surpass that tally this campaign. At just £7.5m, he remains a strong value pick.
