Selhurst Park hosts a clash of the Premier League’s last two unbeaten teams on Saturday as Crystal Palace welcome Liverpool (15:00 kick-off).

Palace arrive with the longest ongoing unbeaten run in the division, stretching to 11 league matches. A 2-1 win over West Ham last weekend kept that streak intact and underlined their defensive strength; Jarrod Bowen’s equaliser was only the second goal they have conceded in the top flight this season. Oliver Glasner’s side now share the league’s best defensive record and are targeting a 12th straight game without defeat. The last time Palace began a campaign with a 10-game unbeaten run, they went on to finish third.

Liverpool’s start has been flawless, with five wins from five under Arne Slot. This fixture is the first league meeting between the sides this season, following Palace’s penalty shootout triumph in August’s Community Shield after a 2-2 draw. They will also meet again in the EFL Cup fourth round on 27 October.

Recent encounters between the clubs have been tight. Counting the Community Shield, the last five games show two wins apiece and one draw. Without it, the record stands at two wins, two draws, and two defeats each. History at Selhurst Park, however, strongly favours Liverpool, who have won nine of their last ten league visits, with the other ending in a draw.

Team News

  • Liverpool: Hugo Ekitike is suspended after his red card in the midweek EFL Cup tie against Southampton. Defender Giovanni Leoni, who debuted in that match, faces a lengthy spell out with an ACL injury. Slot otherwise has a full squad available.

  • Crystal Palace: Yeremy Pino (knee) and Ismaïla Sarr (thigh) have returned to training and could feature. Goalkeeper Walter Benítez (finger), Cheick Doucouré (knee), Chadi Riad (knee), and Caleb Kporha (back) all remain sidelined.

With both sides defending unbeaten records, the match promises to be one of the weekend’s standout fixtures. Palace will look to extend their defensive streak and make home advantage count, while Liverpool arrive with five straight league wins, a formidable record in south London, and momentum to further extend their lead at the top.
