Chelsea let a two-goal advantage slip at Stamford Bridge as they were held to a 2–2 draw by Leeds United in a dramatic Premier League encounter.
Goals from João Pedro and Cole Palmer put the hosts firmly in control, but Leeds mounted a spirited second-half comeback through Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor to earn a valuable point in west London.
It was a scrappy, hard-fought opening at Stamford Bridge, with four yellow cards shown inside the first 30 minutes as both sides battled for midfield control.
The breakthrough arrived in the 24th minute when João Pedro delicately dinked the ball home after Palmer threaded a perfectly weighted through pass into the Brazilian’s path.

João Pedro is now the fourth Brazilian to score 10+ goals in back-to-back Premier League seasons, underlining his growing importance to Chelsea.
Chelsea sensed vulnerability and began to dominate proceedings, pushing forward relentlessly before the interval.
Enzo Fernández clipped a precise pass into João Pedro inside the area, and although the forward cushioned the ball beautifully before attempting a first-time volley, his effort drifted wide.
The hosts resumed after the break with intensity, pressing high and forcing Leeds into repeated errors in possession.
Their pressure paid off when João Pedro was brought down inside the area just as he looked set to double his tally.

Palmer stepped up confidently and dispatched the penalty, taking his total to six goals in his last seven games.
However, the momentum soon shifted.
In the 67th minute, Moisés Caicedo fouled Jayden Bogle inside the box.

Nmecha converted from the spot, sending Robert Sánchez the wrong way to halve the deficit.
The away support grew louder, and Leeds capitalised on the rising tension.

A defensive lapse from Josh Acheampong allowed Okafor to collect the loose ball and finish calmly to make it 2–2.
Stamford Bridge fell silent.
Chelsea had one final opportunity to snatch victory. Malo Gusto combined neatly with Caicedo before Palmer was found inside the box, but the England international blazed over from five yards with what would have been the winner.
It proved a costly miss.

Under Liam Rosenior, Chelsea remain in the Champions League conversation and sit five points ahead of Liverpool in the race for a top-four finish. Leeds, managed by Daniel Farke, move to 15th, just one point above Tottenham as the relegation battle tightens.
