Brentford B will host Paris Saint-Germain Under-21s at the Gtech Community Stadium on Monday 18 May in the fourth edition of the Robert Rowan Invitational.
The fixture, which kicks off at 7pm BST, continues to honour the legacy of Brentford’s former technical director Robert Rowan, who passed away in November 2018 at the age of 28 following a cardiomyopathy episode.
Beyond the football, the match plays an important role in supporting the club’s charity, Heart of West London. All proceeds from the event will go towards initiatives aimed at preventing sudden cardiac deaths, particularly among young people, through cardiac screening, CPR education, research funding, and community support.
Tickets are available via Brentford’s official website, priced at £3 for adults and £1 for juniors, with supporters also given the option to make additional donations.
A landmark edition of the invitational
This year’s edition marks a significant milestone, with international opposition involved for the first time, as PSG Under-21s travel to west London.

The fixture offers a valuable opportunity for young players to showcase their abilities in front of supporters at the Gtech Community Stadium, while contributing to a meaningful cause off the pitch.
Brentford B pathway continues to grow
Brentford’s B team has developed into a key part of the club’s structure since its formation in 2016, following the decision to move away from a traditional academy system.
Robert Rowan played a pivotal role in shaping the early stages of the programme, particularly in recruitment, helping to lay the foundations for the model in place today.

The pathway has since seen several players progress to the first team, including Chris Mepham, Mads Roerslev, Ji-soo Kim, and Yehor Yarmoliuk.
Strong form heading into the fixture
On the pitch, Brentford B have enjoyed a strong run of form, losing just once in their last ten matches and sitting top of the Professional Development League table with 56 points.
The clash against PSG Under-21s now presents another valuable test for the young side in what promises to be both a competitive and meaningful occasion.
