Bournemouth made it 11 games unbeaten in the Premier League as they fought back twice to draw with Manchester United, who went down to 10 men after a Harry Maguire red card late on.
It was the United centre-back’s challenge that gave Bournemouth the opportunity to level for a second time, as his foul conceded a penalty, which Eli Junior Kroupi expertly converted for 2–2.
The Cherries almost went on to win the game, but United managed to see it out with a man down. However, Michael Carrick will be frustrated to come away with just a point after a dominant display for large parts of the game.

United controlled the game for the most part, testing Djordje Petrovic on numerous occasions and deserving a half-time lead, but the Cherries held firm.
The early stages of the second half saw the game drift slightly, before an action-packed 20-minute spell after the hour mark brought it to life.
A United penalty, won by Matheus Cunha, was calmly finished by Bruno Fernandes for his ninth goal of the season, putting United 1–0 up.
But they were quickly pegged back by a smooth transition goal from Andoni Iraola’s side, finished brilliantly by Ryan Christie.
The lead was restored for United via a James Hill own goal from a corner.
Yet again, Carrick’s side conceded shortly after, as Bournemouth were awarded a second penalty following Maguire’s red card challenge.
Kroupi stepped up and converted, preserving Bournemouth’s unbeaten run.
Match Report
The first half began with Manchester United dominating possession and forcing Bournemouth’s goalkeeper into action multiple times.
Petrovic produced several top-class saves, notably denying Cunha and Amad Diallo, while his stop from Fernandes’ volley following a clever Diogo Dalot delivery was the standout moment of the half.
Bournemouth created a few long-range chances that tested Senne Lammens, but United were clearly on top in the opening 45 minutes. Despite this, the score remained level at half-time due to a lack of clinical finishing.
The second half followed a similar pattern early on, with United continuing to push.
Around the hour mark, their pressure finally paid off.

Cunha drove forward and was brought down by Alex Jimenez, leaving the referee with no choice but to award a penalty. Fernandes converted confidently to give United the lead.
However, the advantage was short-lived.
Less than ten minutes later, Bournemouth equalised through Christie after a rapid counterattack, with the Scotsman finishing from the edge of the box.
United responded quickly once again.
Fernandes delivered a deep corner that was flicked on by Marcos Senesi, with the decisive touch eventually credited as a Hill own goal.
Bournemouth nearly responded again shortly after, with Alex Scott striking the post with a curling effort.
Moments later, the turning point arrived.
A superb touch from Evanilson took Maguire out of the game, and the defender brought him down, earning a red card and conceding a penalty.
Kroupi converted, sending Lammens the wrong way and levelling the game at 2–2.

The young forward now has nine Premier League goals this season, underlining his growing importance.
Late Pressure from Bournemouth
With a numerical advantage, Bournemouth pushed for a winner in the closing stages.
United were pinned back and appeared content to settle for a point.
After a tense finish, both sides shared the points at the Vitality Stadium.
Manchester United extend their advantage to four points above fourth-placed Aston Villa, keeping their Champions League hopes on track.

However, Maguire’s suspension could prove costly in the final stretch of the season.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, move to 42 points, continuing their impressive run.
They have now drawn five consecutive Premier League matches, with seven draws across their 11-game unbeaten streak.
Their form keeps them firmly in the top half and in contention for a potential European push.
Man of the Match: Djordje Petrovic
