Bayern Munich 2-2 Arsenal: Declan Rice rescues late Champions League point at the Allianz

Arsenal held Bayern Munich to an entertaining two-all draw at the Allianz Arena, with Declan Rice's late equaliser ensuring the points were shared.
Eberechi Eze put the Premier League champions ahead after being substituted onto the field, before Canadian international Alphonso Davies found the leveller.
Harry Kane converted from the spot to give the hosts the lead before Rice's clinical finish in the 82nd minute secured a point for the Gunners, who had lost Bukayo Saka to a suspected thigh injury inside eight minutes.
It was Arsenal who maintained dominance and the majority of possession in the opening stages of the half, but their fortunes were quickly turned on their head when Saka was forced off, with Eze introduced as his replacement.
Ismael Saibari looked to put the hosts ahead as he played a pass wide to Serge Gnabry, whose effort was denied by the low save of shot-stopper David Raya.
With 25 minutes played, Eze broke the deadlock and completed back-to-back goals in the competition as he fired his low, left-footed strike into the far corner.
Muted celebrations followed while a lengthy VAR check for offside was in review, but were eventually enjoyed when it was confirmed that Josip Stanišić had played Eze onside.

The lead lasted just 10 minutes before the reigning German champions equalised through a moment of brilliance.
Kane retrieved the ball on the halfway line and delivered a through ball into the path of Davies, who made no mistake when slotting his shot beyond Raya.
With the sides level at the break, both emerged into the second half raring to secure the advantage, placing a spotlight on the world-class goalkeeping at both ends.
A deep, inviting corner delivery from Declan Rice reached Bruno Guimarães, whose header was denied by the gloves of Manuel Neuer, before Eze's close-range effort was also kept out by the German goalkeeper.
Just after the hour mark, the hosts were provided with a golden opportunity after a strike from Kane was blocked by the arm of Jurriën Timber.
Kane stepped up and converted from the spot, sending Raya the opposite way to score in his 10th consecutive Champions League fixture.
The England captain continued his remarkable goalscoring record against his former North London rivals, taking his tally to 16 career goals against Arsenal, equalling his record against Everton and trailing only Leicester City (20) among his most frequently punished opponents.

But the challenge was far from over for Mikel Arteta's men, who continued to push into the closing stages for a point at a minimum.
A clinical finish by Rice levelled the scoring in the 82nd minute as he slotted his effort into the far corner to net his first of the season and ensure the Gunners did not leave the Allianz empty-handed.
Following the match, Arteta expressed concern over Saka's injury, with the winger requiring further medical assessment to determine its severity.
The result maintained both sides' unbeaten starts to the competition, leaving Arsenal seventh in the Champions League league-phase standings with seven points, while Bayern sit 14th with five.
Arsenal will look to continue their unbeaten run when they face SK Slavia Prague next in the Champions League, while Bayern Munich travel to Atlético Madrid in pursuit of their second European victory of the campaign.
