Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago will clash for the third time this year as they face off in this year’s edition of the Unity Cup. Hosted in West London, the tournament features four nations — African giants Nigeria and Ghana, alongside the two Caribbean powerhouses.
The official broadcast partner, Afrosport TV, described the event as: “National pride. Bragging rights. Pure vibes. This is war with rhythm.”

The two nations met twice earlier this year — a 1-0 win for Steve McClaren’s Jamaica, followed by a 1-1 draw just three days later.
McClaren has called up some notable names for today’s fixture, including Kasey Palmer, Mason Holgate, and Isaac Hayden. However, there are some big omissions, with Leon Bailey, Bobby Decordova-Reid, Ethan Pinnock, and Ravel Morrison all not included in the squad.
Jamaica enter the match unbeaten in their last four games and will be favourites given the strength of their call-ups.

On the other side, Trinidad & Tobago, managed by Dwight Yorke, don’t boast the same high-profile names as their opponents — but they do carry form and spirit.
The standout figure remains Kevin Molino, the 34-year-old talisman most known for his time with Columbus Crew in the MLS. Despite being clubless since October 2024, his record of 24 goals in 63 caps speaks volumes. He’s expected to start and lead the attack.
Trinidad come into this clash on the back of back-to-back wins over Cuba in March — a 2-1 and a 4-0 victory in Gold Cup qualifiers.
This match is more than just a fixture — it’s a moment of pride for Caribbean communities in the UK. With the game being played at Loftus Road in West London, the stands are expected to be buzzing with flags, rhythm, and culture.
Jamaica may have more firepower on paper, but national pride and energy from the fans will make this clash a true spectacle.
Predicted Line-Ups
Jamaica:
Davis, King, Holgate, Bell, Young, Hayden, Palmer, Russell, Atkinson, Cephas, Burrell
Trinidad & Tobago:
Smith, Jones, Jones, David, Gomez, Phillips, Gill, James, Fortune, Molino, Garcia
