A routine 3–0 win for Tottenham over Slavia Prague In the champions league means it’s now back-to-back victories for Thomas Frank’s side, following their triumph over Brentford at the weekend.

The match featured two penalties and an own goal, with Slavia Prague’s defensive mistakes proving costly as Spurs capitalised. The highlight for Tottenham fans was new signing Xavi Simons scoring his first goal for the club, converting the second spot-kick to make it 3–0.

Mohammed Kudus was excellent once again, and Spurs will hope to use this momentum to build a strong run of results in their push for a top-four finish.

An almost immediate breakthrough nearly came through Richarlison, whose point-blank effort was spectacularly saved by Stanek inside the opening 36 seconds.

Frank’s side continued strongly, dominating the first half-hour before earning an early breakthrough via a Slavia Prague own goal. David Zima was the unfortunate defender, heading into his own net from a Cristian Romero flick-on to give Spurs a deserved lead.

A wide-open first half produced chances for both sides, with each recording six shots and three on target. However, Guglielmo Vicario only had to deal with a handful of long-range efforts, with Tottenham’s No.1 rarely troubled.

It remained 1–0 to Spurs going into the break.

Tottenham started the second half in similar fashion to the first, being awarded a penalty just over three minutes after the restart.

Pedro Porro was played through and attempted a cross into the box, but a late challenge from Sangyang left the referee with no choice but to point to the spot. Kudus stepped up and calmly converted, giving Spurs and Thomas Frank a comfortable two-goal cushion.

Tottenham continued to create chances, but Slavia Prague goalkeeper Jindřich Staněk produced several excellent saves to keep the scoreline respectable. A strong hand denied Odobert, while a superb double save again stopping the French winger and then Sarr kept Spurs at bay.

Slavia Prague also carved out opportunities, but lacked the clinical edge needed to threaten Thomas Frank’s side. Their defensive errors ultimately made the night easier for Tottenham.

Another poor challenge with ten minutes remaining saw Ogbu trip Xavi Simons inside the box, resulting in Spurs’ second penalty of the game. The Dutch international took responsibility, squeezing his effort past Staněk for his first goal for the club and Tottenham’s third of the night.

After an end-to-end first half, the match closed out with a comfortable win for Spurs. Frank’s men have now secured three consecutive Champions League clean sheets and will hope to carry this momentum into their Premier League fixtures as they push for consistency.

Slavia Prague remain winless and sit 32nd on three points.
