Paris Saint-Germain progressed to consecutive Champions League finals after edging past Bayern Munich 6–5 on aggregate following a tense 1–1 draw at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern Munich 1–1 PSG (5–6 agg.)
Goals: Ousmane Dembélé 3’, Harry Kane 90+5’
Luis Enrique’s men got off to an outstanding start, with Dembélé slamming the ball home from a Khvicha Kvaratskhelia cut-back to open the scoring inside three minutes, putting the Parisians two goals ahead on aggregate almost immediately.
It stayed that way for the majority of the match, with excellent defensive work from the away side keeping Bayern’s record-breaking attack at bay and limiting their clear-cut chances. Matvei Safonov in the PSG net did not have many major saves to make, which was a testament to the visitors’ disciplined and hard-working display.
Harry Kane did grab a late equaliser on the night to make it 6–5 on aggregate, but it proved only to be a consolation goal for the Bavarians as Vincent Kompany’s team were eliminated, halting their hopes of a potential treble.
PSG now move into back-to-back Champions League finals and will fancy their chances as they prepare to face Arsenal at the end of the season.
MATCH REPORT
A quickfire start was always likely in a game of this magnitude, and it arrived inside three minutes courtesy of the Parisians.
It was slick football from PSG, with a fabulous pass from Fabián Ruiz slicing open Bayern’s defence and releasing Kvaratskhelia through on goal.
The Georgian had acres of space as he drove into the box before cutting the ball back to Ballon d’Or winner Dembélé. The Frenchman struck it first time into the roof of the net, leaving Manuel Neuer with no chance and extending PSG’s aggregate advantage to two goals.

The Bavarians responded well, with their high press and attacking quality causing problems for the PSG defence. Their first real chance came through a mistake from Warren Zaïre-Emery, who lost possession to Luis Díaz on the touchline.
The Colombian beat his man and cut the ball back towards Jamal Musiala inside the six-yard box, but Nuno Mendes produced a crucial last-ditch tackle to prevent the German from making contact.
Díaz and Kvaratskhelia were enjoying themselves throughout the opening stages, repeatedly getting the better of their opposing full-backs. Both players created opportunities from moments of individual brilliance inside the first 20 minutes, though neither seriously troubled the goalkeepers.
Michael Olise was also causing problems down Bayern’s right side. The Frenchman created a chance for himself by cutting inside Mendes and curling a beautiful effort just over the crossbar.
Despite Bayern’s pressure, PSG still looked dangerous whenever they attacked. The visitors almost doubled their lead just after the half-hour mark from a deep free-kick.

Kvaratskhelia swung a delightful delivery towards the back post where João Neves headed the ball back across goal, but Neuer reacted brilliantly to push the effort wide and keep Bayern alive in the tie.
Vincent Kompany’s side still looked threatening before the interval. Jonathan Tah had a free header from a set-piece but failed to direct it on target.
Olise and Musiala continued to cause problems late in the first half. The pair combined superbly in midfield, allowing Musiala to drive into the PSG penalty area before forcing Safonov into a sharp save low to his right.
The second half began at a slower pace, with neither side able to establish sustained rhythm.
However, PSG’s front line continued to find dangerous spaces. Désiré Doué created room for a strike from a tight angle, but Neuer was equal to it. Moments later, Kvaratskhelia danced past two defenders before forcing another good stop from Bayern’s goalkeeper.
PSG looked the more likely side to score again, with Doué coming close just after the hour mark. The young winger again found space to shoot, but Neuer produced another strong save to keep Bayern alive.
The Bavarians’ first-half intensity was not replicated after the break, with Kompany’s men struggling to create meaningful opportunities. Their front three never truly got going in the second half and clear-cut chances were limited.
A few tame efforts from Olise and Josip Stanišić represented Bayern’s best moments, but nothing seriously troubled PSG.
In fact, the visitors looked more dangerous on the counterattack late on, with substitute Bradley Barcola and Kvaratskhelia both going close.

As the game moved towards full-time, Bayern appeared defeated. That was until Kane received the ball inside the area deep into stoppage time. The England captain swivelled brilliantly before smashing a powerful finish past Safonov into the roof of the net to give Bayern a late lifeline.
However, it arrived far too late for the Bavarians.
The final whistle shortly followed Kane’s strike, confirming PSG’s place in another Champions League final after a deserved aggregate victory over Bayern Munich.

The match finished 1–1 on the night, and PSG were worthy winners of the tie, looking the stronger side both offensively and defensively across the contest.
The Parisians will now face Arsenal in the final with the opportunity to retain the Champions League trophy.
Man of the Match: Marquinhos
