FPL Picks – Game Week 5

Formation 3-4-3
Goalkeeper – Bernd Leno (£5m) Fulham

After claiming his first clean sheet on his last outing, the German will be looking to claim another as Fulham face London rivals Brentford at Craven Cottage. Leno has had a solid start to the season and gained 8 points last week.
Defence – Daniel Munoz (£5.6m) Crystal Palace

Daniel Muñoz has been a revelation at right wing back for Oliver Glasner since his signing. One of the most attacking full backs in the Premier League and he’s already gained 24 points this season. He faces a struggling West Ham side in a London derby.
Defence – Ibrahima Konate (£5.5m) Liverpool

Konaté has had a solid start to the season and won 9 points away at Burnley last week, the reds face Everton in the Merseyside derby looking for back to back clean sheets.
Defence – Jurrien Timber (£5.7m) Arsenal

The Dutch full back is currently this season’s highest points collector with 34 points in just 4 games. At just £5.7m he is this seasons must have pick in defence. Arsenal have only conceded one goal this season, with Timber being a vital member of that back line.
Midfield – Cole Palmer (£10.4m) Chelsea

One of the most in form players in recent weeks, Palmer is certainly not cheap but guarantees points. He made his return from injury last week with a goal, and also scored a stunner in the Champions League during the week against Bayern. Palmer heads to Old Trafford on Sunday looking to add to United’s misery.
Midfield – Antoine Semenyo (£7.5m) Bournemouth

The Bournemouth winger has been one of the standout players this season with 3 goals to his name. He already has 37 points which is higher than any other midfielder, making him a must pick in your team.
Midfield – Mo Salah (£14.5m) Liverpool

Mo Salah is a great pick for captain this week. Liverpool face Everton at home, with the Egyptian having a great record against his Merseyside rivals. He got the winner from the spot in the dying seconds last week, and scored midweek in the Champions League so confidence is high.
Midfield – Dominic Szoboszlai (£6.5m) Liverpool

The Hungarian has had a really strong start to the season, securing 20 points in his first 4 games. He set up Van Dijk’s winner midweek from a corner and looks set to have a big season ahead.
Striker – Joao Pedro (£7.8m) Chelsea

The second most inform striker in the league continues to gain points every week. The Brazilian is the most picked striker in the game with 66.9% of FPL managers choosing him. The Chelsea striker heads to Old Trafford looking to keep his run of form going.
Striker – Alexander Isak (£10.4m) Liverpool

Liverpool’s record transfer man looks set to make his debut in the Merseyside derby this Saturday. He will be looking to kick start his season for the reds after scoring 23 goals and claiming 6 assists last season.
Striker – Chris Wood (£7.6m) Nottingham Forest

The New Zealand international has 2 goals in 4 games. He will be looking to help his new boss Ange Postecoglou get his first win of the season. Wood faces his old side Burnley at Turf Moor.
