Fulham host Manchester United in the second week of the Premier League season. Neither side got off to winning start so three points will be objective for both teams going into the game.

After Manchester United’s 1-0 loss to Arsenal last weekend, their fans will be hoping they can turn a good performance into results. United were the better team and more threatening for large parts at Old Trafford. However, they could not make their chances count when they came.

New signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo both showed positive signs against Arsenal. But United showed similar signs to last season by struggling to convert good opportunities.

Fulham are back at Craven Cottage this Sunday and will be hoping to follow up on last week's draw away at Brighton.

Brighton created the better chances but Rodrigo Muniz saved Fulham in the 97th minute. With only one signing this summer in goalkeeper, Benjamin Lecomte, it is to be seen what Fulham can and want to achieve this season.

Muniz has been linked with a move away all summer long. Willian and Reiss Nelson both left the club also. Attacking reinforcements may be needed to keep Fulham in the mid-table places.

Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Andre Onana is back in contention for a starting spot after Altay Bayindir started against Arsenal.

New striker Benjamin Sesko could be in line for his first Premier League start after coming off the bench last week. Mason Mount is most likely to make way for Sesko, with Cunha and Mbeumo expected to start once again.

Ruben Amorim should stick to his trusted 3-4-3 formation which could cause problems for Fulham as they have injuries in their defence.

Fulham’s lineup could be largely unchanged. Fullback’s Antonee Robinson and Ryan Sessegnon both missed the trip to Brighton but have not been ruled out by Marco Silva.

A change could be made in midfield as youngster Josh King faces competition from Emile Smith-Rowe. King impressed on the opening day so he could see his performance awarded with another start.

Manchester United haven’t lost to Fulham in their last three, with two wins and a draw. Fulham did record a famous win at Old Trafford but that was only one of three wins against United.

Manchester United will want to pick up three points if they want to be back amongst the European places this season. It’s a long season but a slow start would only hinder their chances.

Fulham showed their resilience last week and will need to once again if Manchester United take their chances.
